Welcome to my gallery, I am known as Jant, and I am a Welsh artist living in Abergavenny, South Wales, with my husband Dai - daughter Tiz and her husband Rich, the two grandchildren Caian and Nia and the two dogs Titch and Jaz - not forgetting the pigs and the chickens!
As well as painting, I run a teaching studio next to my home, where a number of other tutors and I teach a huge variety of classes, including painting, life drawing, textiles and photography. Go to the "Classes" page to find out more
Art is my passion, my work reflects the people and places that surround me. I am inspired to paint faces and scenery that I know and understand. My other passion is walking in the beautiful mountains of South Wales, and I find the scenery breathtaking.
My roots are here, these mountains are part of me and the people that I live amongst inspire me continually. The challenge of committing the scenery and the personalities to canvas is always exciting.
